We've been overwhelmed (the good kind of overwhelmed!) by all your offers for practical support and while we love the enthusiasm, we want to make sure ours is a Covid-safe work space.
Please fill in the following contact form if you're interested in coming out to help and we'll be in touch as soon as we have an opening matching your availability. Do email
in case of questions and queries. Our volunteer sessions currently run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
We rely on the community to keep our shelves stocked. While we appreciate all non-perishable, in-date, unopened and alcohol-free donations, we encourage you to donate items that make up the bulk of the parcels we distribute. Please consult our BGFB Favorites List here for guidance.
You can drop off your donations at Raine's Foundation School on Wednesdays (2-7PM) and at the following collections points:
Co-op: 246-252 Hackney Rd, E2 7SJ
Simply Fresh E2: 201-203 Roman Rd, E2 0QY
Maks News: 154 Columbia Rd, E2 7RG
Ozone Coffee: Emma St, E2 9AP
Sue's Brew: 51 Old Ford Rd, E2 9PJ
Second Shot Coffee: 475 Bethnal Green Rd, E2 9QH
Our sister food bank Bow is open to receive donations every Sunday 12.30-15.00 at the Bromley by Bow Centre.
For any one-off large donations, please e-mail us so we can make sure we make the best use of your generosity. We may be able to arrange for collection if you're local to BG and have a larger donation.
Keen to do more? Why not consider organising a collection for us. This could be in your apartment block, street, school, place of work or any other community you're a part of.
If you'd like to raise funds (thanks a bunch!), please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We love hearing about your plans and this helps us make sure we're covered on all the legal fronts.
