Catching up with... Christopher
Christopher long-time volunteer at both Bethnal Green and Bow Food Bank. Christopher currently works as a lunch lady in a local school, working mainly with reception children. He plans on starting a history course at Birkbeck this year and is a pro at packing bags and tallying donations during our Wednesday eve sessions.
Home is... Home for me is Bethnal green as I was born in here and have lived here all my life. Plus I can’t afford to move out of my parents house yet.
If you could buy any building in London and live there, which would it be? Either the shard and turn it into a really tall block of council flats or a nice flat around Bloomsbury area just below Kings Cross because of the rich history and being walking distance from Gay's the Word and BookMarks.
What do you miss most from pre-COVID times? Not remembering what I did in Dalston super store and then stumbling out of Dalston super store and heading to either Dixy chicken or McDonald’s
If you could bring something extinct back to life, what would you choose? The Dodo as it seemed to just be really chill and friendly bird.
Last but not least, what's your (East) London Secret? Recharge on Roman road. Their coffee is the best coffee I have ever tasted!!
This is the second part of an ongoing series celebrating members of the BGFB community. Thanks Christopher for all your ongoing support and dedication! 🙌
