We're open every Wednesday from 2-7PM at Raine's Foundation School (E2 9LY).
Our sister food bank Bow Food Bank is open every Monday 8.30-12.30 at Bromley-By-Bow Community Centre.
We do not require referrals. We offer emergency help for people who do not meet the criteria for other food banks. All you need to do is come to the session, no paperwork, vouchers, residential or other restrictions, and we do not turn people away empty-handed.
The queues can be very long, and we thank your for your patience whilst the volunteers prepare the start of the session. We kindly ask you to respect the line and stay in order of arrival. Queue-jumping will not be tolerated.
All clients are offered a maximum of 12 visits to be used at either Bow or Bethnal Green
At the session
In order to be able to serve everyone, we provide each household with a standard number of items. If your household includes children, this will be taken into account. You can choose between three different parcels: meat (non-halal), fish (halal friendly) or vegetarian (halal friendly). If you do not have access to cooking facilities, we can offer a 'non-cook' parcel. We may offer extra items such as hygiene products on a rotational basis and where stock lasts.
If you're visiting us for the first time, we will help you to register with us. This data allows us to keep track of number of visitors and helps us plan ahead. We do not share any personal data with people outside of The Bow Foodbank Ltd.
If you've visited us before, welcome back! We will ask you for your full name and post code so we can locate you in our database.
We ask that when you visit us, you wear a mask, use hand sanitiser and keep a distance. For your own protection and the protection of those around you.
Can't come to the food bank in person? You can arrange for a friend, family member or neighbour to collect for you if you are self-isolating.
Unfortunately we are unable to offer deliveries
